The Midlothian Observer is a sister blog of The Ellis County Observer, a blog launched by 2001 Midlothian High School graduate Joey G. Dauben.
The mission of this blog is to report what really goes on in Midlothian and in western Ellis County.
While separate, The Ellis County Press newspaper also serves this purpose. Joey was the news editor at the ECP from December 2007 to February 2009. He began his ECP career in November of 2001 covering Midlothian High School Panthers football and worked his way into an investigative reporter role.
The Midlothian Observer will also attack local media and the Midlothian Mirror when we see that they are not doing their job — which, in journalism, is to be a watchdog on local government.
The Mirror has a history of purposely and deliberately misleading the taxpayers.
